Total Faith vs. Faith

I've tried to avoid needy-sounding posts on here, but sometimes life gets really tough and I need to share some things with others. When I get in a real bind, and there doesn't seem to be any way out, and I fear for our food and bill needs at the end of each month, I get a bit scared. To be honest, I get really, really scared.

If we didn't have to eat and get household supplies (TP, detergent, deodorant, etc.), I'd have all my side bills paid off at this point, and I could definitely make it on my social security. But food and supplies are necessary to life in today's world.

Oh, I know that God had never failed to help me. In fact, sometimes I sort of grin and look upwards and tell Him that I cannot wait to see how he gets us out of "this one."

I had a dear friend years ago, back in Jersey, who I envied a bit. She had total faith.

Oh, I do have faith, but while I am waiting for God to work things out, I have to confess that I worry...and worry...and worry. Margie (bless her soul, she's now with the Lord), however, was one of the rare ones I've met who never worried.

When I share my concerns and needs, a lot of times it's to document the situation. I hope that after it works out, others in similar need will see that and find the faith and patience to know that their situations, too, will work out. I hope in some way it helps while they, too, wait to see how God gets them out of "this one."

Dear Lord, I know you are in the midst of working this out for us this month. I pray for the faith I need to wait patiently while you bring it all together. Meanwhile, please likewise bless those who are reading this who are in similar situations. May we all pray often for that Total Faith, the faith that surpasses all understanding, which is so comforting in times of trouble.
