The REAL First Christmas Gifts

A few days ago, I posted about the first Christmas gifts - the songs of the angels, the visit and adoration of the shepherds, and the wealth of the Magi.

It occurred to me tonight that those weren't the first gifts.

God gave us the first Christmas gift in the gift of his son!

And Mary gave us the gift of his human birth and life.

Father, thank you so much for sending us your beloved son, Jesus. And thank you for choosing the right mother for him, Mary.
