I found this in a roundabout way. My daily CraftGossip e-newsletter led me to the EverythingEtsy blog and their 101HandmadeHolidayTutorials, which led me to this one. LittleBirdieSecrets has the tute at this link.
I like this treat for several reasons. It is, as LittleBirdieSecrets points out, a great last minute gift idea. It is also a great last minute home-treat idea. I like that if you use the striped kisses, it sets the tone to match the season. I am going to try using the microwave for these because my oven is out of commission right now, and I am not going to wait until two weeks before Christmas to try these. No way. I began craving them the minute I saw the photo.
Be sure to view the entire tutorial. This ensures that you will not miss any tips the crafters have posted to make the process easy.

For other projects in my series, just look along the right sidebar for the label "Christmas Gift Projects." I hope to post only tips that do not require knitting, crocheting, machine sewing, tatting, embroidery, or any other skilled technique.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway (deadline Oct 31) for $25 in handcrafted merchandise from my Etsy store.
