Charity Crafting at a Different Level

Many folks would love to be involved with charity crafting but perhaps time, money, or other issues limit them. I've known many ladies, and men, who just do not work as fast as others. Or they cannot make the items most in need at the time.

There is one way even they can help. Make just one item, one really special item, and donate it to a church or charity group as a raffle prize. Items most suited are afghans or prayer shawls, but I have seen selections of hand-made candies, cookies, and even candles.

You should make this one of your very best efforts, something to encourage the event guests to buy the raffle tickets. There is a really warm feeling that comes when you are watching folks line up to buy tickets just for a chance to win what you so carefully made.

It doesn't matter if you can only do this once in your lifetime, or annually, or even monthly. If this way of donating your crafty time and effort seems to suit your own lifestyle, then go for it. The winner(s) will love you for it, and the charity planners will, too!
