I am also constantly amazed at how many people honestly believe that there are no "good" people left in the world. Some think that they are the only good ones left.
I, however, am overjoyed by how many good people I stumble upon every day. Even in my Etsy shop, where I try to sell my handcrafted works, I continually "find" others who sell items of faith, thereby distributing them and spreading the word. I notice that most of these people price their faith-driven goods lower than they probably should. They seem to feel that getting out the word is more important than a huge profit. IMHO, they barely cover their costs to make the items.
Over the next few days, I'll be sharing with you some sites that do this - sites that offer items that spread a faith. These handcrafters make some truly beautiful products, and some rather unusual ones. I think you will enjoy seeing what people are doing these days.
And that's just in the Etsy shops. I see it and hear it all around me. I hear it in overheard conversations when I am running errands. I see it on bumper stickers on cars waiting at street lights and parked on the street. I see it in the names of shops around town. I hear and see it in some shows on TV - not always totally geared to faith, but not afraid to bring it into the show.
It's a wonderful world we live in, if we but open our eyes, our ears, and our hearts.
Father, I am very grateful that you enable me to be part of your world, that you send me enough grace to be able to notice these things, and that you soften my heart that I may accept these wonderful people.
