Every Cell in Our Body - Memory

Tonight, I found myself thinking a lot about how God not only knows every cell in my body, but he made each cell. I was a bit worried that I might forget several things I must do when I leave on a round of errands around 8 in the morning. A list helps, but how do I know that I will not forget to put some things on the list?

Memory is tricky. A lot of folks my age (70) worry about becoming forgetful. I'm not talking about Alzheimer's, but more about the normal sliding of memory that comes as we get older. It makes sense, in a way.

At 10, we only have ten years worth of info to stash in those brain cells. At 30, we have three times as much to store and also retrieve. At 50, we sure have a lot of stuff tucked into those wrinkles and crevices in our brains. At 70? Yikes! It's all there, in those cells, of course, but retrieving it. when it is needed, becomes more difficult with each passing year.

That's where God comes in, for me, anyway. I figure if he made each cell in my body, then he knows where I've stashed each bit of information in all those 70 years. Not only that, the Lord has told us that if we ask, we shall receive. So, I shall begin asking, and often!

Dear God, please help me to remember anything you need me to remember, especially if it is tucked into the furthermost regions of those brain cells; I am asking, and I trust that I will receive.
