Why I Love Men of Faith - 2 of 3

I love men of faith when I see them as part of a "couple of faith." I was never wise enough to accept the decent men the Lord sent my way, thinking of them as not very colorful. It took years of mistakes to make me realize what I had passed up.

However, I was always thrilled, at services, to see couples attending together, obviously joined by something deeper than the flesh. I still feel that way today. I love seeing young couples, elderly couples, and even young hoping-to-be-couples, joining hands and hearts while worshiping their God.

Even away from services, here in my senior mobile home community of over 400 homes, I love knowing of couples who are joined in faith. One such couple is very active in their church. They attend charity events together, services, and even fun excursions with other people of their faith. How wonderful to praise the Lord with your beloved.

Now and then, we see and hear of celebrities or political figures who worship together as a couple. It always makes my heart warm.

I love quiet faith. I believe we do a lot of good by good example.

Worshipping the Lord and praising him does not mean these men are perfect. But it does mean that they are willing to try to live the Lord's way, to follow the Ten Commandments.

Dear God, thank you for showing me all these examples of men who are strong in their faith in you; bless them always, and send your grace their way whenever they need it.
