She passed reasonably at peace mid-morning, within the past hour.
The hospice team was devoted to her comfort. Whenever she experienced obvious pain, they admistered a comforting medication. I am so grateful for that. I am also very comforted that this was God's obvious will. Never once after the NG tube was removed, or even during its use, did she start to "get well," so it was the right thing for me to do, to honor her long-time wishes, to ensure she was not lingering due to artificial means.
Her remains will be given to me after all is taken care of.
I reached some people with email. However, I have a list of about 20 of her former friends who will want to know and whom I must contact by phone, so I will be busy today and tomorrow.
