The Power of Prayer

It is amazing how quickly prayer works if you keep your mind ready for God's whispers. I know that your prayers are working already. I had forgotten that months and months ago, I had offered to pay a little extra on this each month but I was told by the gal in the office that it had to be all-or-nothing. Tomorrow I'm scheduled to send a normal payment and I think I will just toss in some extra along with a letter to apply this and any other extras I send over the coming weeks and months, to the balance.

One of two things will happen. Either they will refuse it (I can hardly see anyone in this economy turn down any payment) or they will quietly accept it and I can keep doing it. If I had done this back then, half the balance would already be gone.

Also, I read some great words of wisdom to help me right now, from some wise folks. A dear friend emails regularly with updates on her family and its issues and its joys. She always includes a quote, some trivia, and a few other tidbits. These are the quotes which hit home when I opened her email today:

Those who do not know how to weep with their whole heart don't know how to laugh either. - Golda Meir

Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it. - Lou Holtz

Dear God, thank you for hearing the prayers of my friends and clearing my mind so I could begin to take some action with your help; bless these people as only you know best.

Hi Evelyn,
I tagged on at my blog for filling out questions about writing, if you would like to do it! If not, that is fine too. :)
