The Ultimate Multi-Tasker

Like last night, I am a bit un-focused. I am still very worried about the health of a dear old friend and also the health of my younger sister. I am worried about several online friends, their health and finance issues. And I am worried about the health and finance issues of some long-time friends. How can I possibly expect God to handle all of these issues for me?

How can I not expect it? If we humans can be proud of our multi-tasking abilities, if we can seek to take on more and more, why aren’t we seeking the help of the greatest multi-tasker of all - God himself? We are made in his image. He handles the affairs and cares and issues of the entire world. Why can’t we expect him, therefore, to handle a dozen or more of the things that worry us most?

The answer, of course, is that we can expect him to do that. The problem, though, is in how we ask him. Do we make a to-do list and submit it? I think I’ll just mentally go over the things I worry about most, the people I’m concerned about, and then just go back to square one and turn them over to him.

Father, you know all these people I am concerned about and all the issues they are facing; please take them into your merciful and compassionate heart and bless them to an incredible degree.
