To Sell or Not to Sell Handcrafted Works

I have heard many people say they refuse to sell their handcrafted works. Once, many years ago, I did, too. I was afraid it would take the pleasure out of my hobby.

These days, though, I take pleasure both ways - whether I sell or I do not. The reason is that I decided to only sell what I have fun making. I purposely only offer projects that satisfy me one way or another.

Maybe I love working the pattern. Some patterns give great pleasure in just watching the product grow as we work it.

Some patterns or designs are just plain easy. They are among my favorites.

Others are just plain quick.

I especially love them if they are both - quick and easy.

And others might not fit any of these requirements, but they are just favorites and I cannot stop myself from working them.

So, if you have ever had a yen to sell your work, but you don’t want the fun to stop, try picking products one of these ways. Maybe you can have your cake and sell it, too.

Dear God, thank you for your guidance, so that I can share my skills with others while I earn some income, too. http://www.evelynmayfield.etsy.com
