De-Cluttering

Now that the weather is cooling down a bit (102 instead of 112), I must begin de-cluttering. Craft supplies are a big part of my clutter. Not all of my clutter, but a large part. Through the years, I have often heard that by getting rid of what we do not want or need in our living spaces, we open the door for God to send us what we do need.

With me, yarns and threads will stay. I can always find a use for them. Needles and hooks, however, are different. I should get rid of crochet hooks except for my Susan Bates and my Boye hooks. The others can go to someone who needs them.

Also, nobody here knits any longer. I have a large stash of my DM’s patterns and pattern books, plus her needles. I’ll try to sell what I can, and then find the right home for them. There is a lot of lining material that Jane used to use, but I suspect she does not need nearly all of it any longer. And there are a lot of miscellaneous craft supplies.

Yes, it’s time for me to at least de-clutter the craft supplies. Maybe in doing that, I’ll get motivated to move on to other areas of clutter in here.

Father, I appreciate all that I have, but I have more than I need; help me to get started on sorting it and help me find the right home for each item.
