Hand Crafted Christmas Gift Ideas - Easy Corner Bookmarks

Between now and Christmas Day, I am committing myself to sharing a site or project that is either quick or easy or otherwise suitable for Christmas giving or even selling, in some cases. Tonight's offering is the first in the series.

I think I found this link on one of my daily CraftGossip emails. Athena at The Stuff of Success shows how to make quick and easy cardboard corner bookmarks.

Hers are geared to children, and show food product packaging motifs. Anyone could easily use up small amounts of scrapbooking supplies, or squares of lace, or plastic canvas, or fabric, or lightweight crochet or knit motifs. You are only limited by your imagination and the supplies at hand.

The basic building block, the corner, upon which the trims are glued, is the idea she willingly shares with us. It's one of those ideas that is guaranteed to make you say, like it did me, "Now, why didn't I think of that?" Well, I didn't. She did. And I'm very grateful.

These are great for stocking stuffers, card stuffers, and easy to poke into a purse to carry for quick thank-you's on the run. They make a great pairing with a fave book given as a gift.

I love her site, also. As she says,

"I offer the following:
   Ideas to make money
   Ideas to save money
   Craft Projects
Activities for free or minimal cost
   Refinishing projects
   Recycling suggestions
   Upcycling suggestions
...And, a little of life's humor to brighten your day."

Her goal, as she says, is to "live well, inexpensively," through a variety of means. I am really happy to share this one with you.

Click on her Home page and wait for it to fully load so you can really explore her site. She has so many ideas and projects and links and resources that this site alone can keep you busy if you take the time to find the hidden treasures.

Now, get busy but have fun!
