The fellows
came bright and early this morning. A friend had given my number to them, but I
also knew several others who had already done this. Most of them all said the
same thing - it takes less than half an hour. I had a 10 am appointment and had
to be dressed by 9:30 to leave to get there. They arrived at 8 and said we had
plenty of time. It took a whole hour-and-a-half. I had lots of things they had
to do, both inside the house and underneath, as well.
The good
news is that they got it all done, just in time so I wouldn’t be late. The
not-so-good news is that while under the house, they found a pipe that is
sprinkling water continuously. This means it’s probably an intake pipe. Anyhow,
this will really be interesting, trying to figure out how to fix it. There is
no “puddle” on the ground, they said, which means it is a light leak. But it’s
got to be fixed before that is no longer true.
If I hadn’t
had the checkup done, it could have been undiscovered until it became a major
problem. However, now I need to deal with replacing a piece of pipe. I prefer
knowing before something is a major issue - and I know I will figure a way to
take care of this.
Thank you, Father, for the advance warning about the repairs I need to make. And thank you for helping the crew to finish in time so I wouldn’t be late, although calling it so close made me a little rushed driving to the appointment. I am looking forward to seeing how you get this repair done for me.
