Thinking Tonight Of Friends Needing Prayers

With Thanksgiving Day approaching, I can’t help but think that just 9 short months ago, my beloved middle-aged nephew died suddenly and I will miss him on that day in particular - aside from Christmas, it was his favorite holiday.

But then I remembered a dear friend who just lost not one loved one, but two - her son was murdered and a mere two months afterwards, her mother died heartbroken over the event. Her family is facing a day when it will be difficult for them to be thankful.

And then I realized I have another friend who dear husband is very ill with several issues - his diabetes is way up (500+), his blood pressure is way down, and his kidneys are at issue. She is very frightened.

Yet another friend has her own health to worry about. She is the one her little family depends on - husband, daughter and disabled son. A very loving family. But now she is undergoing many tests dealing with a possible problem with a brain bleed.

And there are others...

So, if you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving, be yet even more thankful, and whisper a prayer for these folks, okay?

Lord Jesus, please send blessings and strength to those in need now, whether that be emotional need, financial need, or medical need. Fill them with the love and grace they need to deal with the worries and problems in their lives. Lift their burdens in whatever way is best. And thank you for the many things I have to be thankful for this coming holiday.
